"Been in design a while. Started 3 businesses with others (2 still running). Started freelancing first on my own in NYC. Here's my advice. If you are a sole proprietor with no employees, e.g. a freelancer, it will make no difference to a client, to the tax man, or your accountant whether you have an LLC, INC or nothing behind your name. The most important thing is your name and that you promote it and do excellent work. And note the "We're not lawyers or accountants here at Core77". One of the first things I did when I graduated was talk to an accountant. It wasn't expensive, and the ground rules he dictated for me have remained the same for years. I recommend the same to you. Lawyers came later. Never really had need for one yet. If you are a savvy freelancer and you pick up business, hire subcontractors or make a whopping amount of money, yes, that's different. Time to do the LLC/S-Corp route depending on your circumstances. Both have advantages but LLC's work real well in our profession and this category was created fairly recently for people just like us, smaller entities that need less rigid tax and liability advantages."
"Stunning can have different meanings. A more accurate headline is "man who can't draw, has no design experience creates stunning supercar" - that looks like it was designed by someone who can't draw and has no design experience."
