"Good or bad, I live with a licensed fire protection engineer. Good for helping me not burn the house down. Bad for having an informed opinion about the suitability of materials I use to prototype (read:cardboard.)I thought the million gallon tank was impressive. Turns out the building code requires a certain supply pressure for a particular amount of time; if the city water line can't supply enough pressure, the building, whatever whatever the building is, would need to have water stored to supply the sprinkler system for a particular length of time. Given the size of the building, and the fact that it's on a hill, it seems the million gallon tank is more code requirement, and less thoughtful architect keeping the arts safe.I thought the million gallon tank was cool, and I was unceremoniously informed "Yeah. They probably would have had to do that for anything built on that hill.""
