  • "I suppose it would allow you to sweep with two hands while holding the dustpan, though I'd be a little concerned that the front lip might not be making good contact. $40 is pricey, though."

  • "I'm not going to argue that someone isn't choosing these partially to avoid giving homeless a place to rest, but It's quite a statement to say that everyone always prefers benches. I think there are many times when I would choose this over a bench, mostly depending on whether I had just walked a ways or had been sitting for a while on a previous leg of my journey."

  • "The price may be a bit steep for what it is, but I think the product has its place. I think there is psychologically a difference between choosing to close other apps, go into airplane mode, etc. (and constantly resisting turning them back on) and making it so you just don't have those other options at all. It also seems pretty useful for someone who might be trying to travel light or who will be without access to electricity but still wants to do some writing. I have a Remarkable tablet, which has some similarities to this, and really like it. I guess the difference, though, is that besides being limited for focus reasons it is actually superior to other options (lighter and better feel than a touchscreen tablet, more storage and organization than paper)."

  • "Love it. She managed to capture the insect essence, which makes it really fun and interesting, while simple & classic shapes with beautiful & simple materials, which make it elegant."

  • "I'm all for reuse and giving things a second life, but I am dubious about adding cost, material, or carbon footprint to a product to enable that second life if it is something that is meant to be purchased even semi-frequently. If I like this dessert I might end up with dozens of mugs by the end of the year. I certainly don't need that many, and probably couldn't even give them away."

  • "Cleveland's University Circle did something similar with its utility boxes. Student's from the Cleveland Institute of Art decorated them with old timey illustrations (google the ArtBox project for more info) https://www.flickr.com/photos/cleinstituteart/sets/72157636117445553/"

  • "I actually kind of like that clear draping table, though I worry that it's not actually stable (but certainly could be if done right)."

  • "Clorox bottles have a tube built in (I believe they call it a Smart Tube) so that the sprayer sucks from the very bottom. The top is a bit different, but might show a way to manufacture this."

  • "I assume most people would reuse the cups at least a few times. I think the higher perception of value would also prevent partygoers from being so careless about discarding cups. Both of those would eat into that 800% pretty quick. I have durable plastic party cups that we've used for years."

  • "The inside doesn't look as extreme as perhaps the description would suggest. Yes, it's unapologetically feminine, but there are certainly plenty of examples of extremely masculine looking cars."
