""That was fine with me when Steve Jobs was in charge, because he actually knew what I wanted and consistently delivered it."Your memory may be a bit selective. There were poorly designed products coming out of Apple under Jobs. Here are a few that come to my mind: the "hockey puck" mouse, the buttonless iPod shuffle, the "mighty mouse" with the little nubbin, the cube with hard to reach ports and cracking plastic, "
"I always wear a helmet when riding (to the point of feeling strange if for some reason I get on a bike without one). But if you want to feel better about not wearing a helmet read:http://www.howiechong.com/journal/2014/2/bike-helmets"
"I commuted by bicycle for over 10 years and got hit a few times - always by cars on my left turning right (without signaling). Fortunately, I always walked away - once with very bruised ribs the other times only with some scrapes and bruises. I never hit my head so the helmet never made a difference. (I do know someone that was hit. He go a concussion and his helmet split in half. I wouldn't be surprised if the hemet saved his life). "
"I've been hit a few times, always by a car on my left turning right. I most of those cases I was in a bike lake traveling FASTER than the automobiles (who were stuck in traffic).Faster bikes make solve some problems but it would create others. The only real solution is safer intersections and better isolation of bike lanes."
"Chase No Face / BELL from zach lieberman on Vimeo."Nobody has done this before..." That isn't true, this project was done over 3 years ago and was well covered (creatersproject, wired, etc). There are others too. Project Omote looks more sophisticated but to claim it is the first project is either disingenuous or ill informed."
"My big question about this camera and technology is the shutter lag. I'm sure it take nice hi-res images with a great variety of DOF but I can't find any mention of frame rates or delays. Lower shutter lag is the main reason I use a D-SLR over a phone camera."
"Their definition of "Handmade" is pretty squishy. The have a number of laser cut steal decorative items. (The only thing done by hand would be placing the steel sheet in the laser cutting bed and clicking on start). The also have some wood items that look like they are mass produce but just have laser etching on them."
