"It's interesting but I feel like they try to push a message too much, like the bathing suit and the smart electronics. It might also just be the result of the oversimplification of the exercise, like the headphones; while it's true that there's a segment of the market that went for smaller ear buds until they're almost invisible, it's not entirely accurate since we still have very large headphones. I don't know where I'm going with this, someone stop me"
"am I weird for thinking it looks super fun to sleep in the back seat of a car? I slept in the driver seat of a rented compact vauxhall for days while in Scotland, it wasn't that bad. I'm sure I would've been happy with that back seat mattress"
"One of the best description of ID influencers I've seen. It also applies to everything art, and the ugly truth is that if an influencer wants to generate the most amount of interest (likes, follows etc), that person has to create and post content on a daily basis, which is not a time frame that's realistic for most industrial design projects. So we end up with a platform that has a format encouraging 30minutes-1hr quick renderings and sketches that have no use in the real world. I find these influencers still interesting though if only for the visual inspiration. There's also plenty of designers on instagram that post WIP of interesting real projects. "
"I think it looks fine as is, doesn't need to look like some sci fi electronic wasp. It wouldn't fit the narrative at all. Also, that electric bus looks very tacky, I can't see this design not going out of style after 2-3 years"
"There are many more than just creo and alias, but it really doesn't matter. You don't learn a software to start working at X company, you learn the craft before. Go to a school to learn automotive design or do it on your own (at your own risk of wasting time), and you will eventually understand why your question doesn't matter."
"Most of the description is a pointless rambling in which the author kind of put some buzz words to sound fancy, this is definitely top-quality architecture-speak BS. I agree that if you want to have something unique for your city, you're going to have to pay more than what you would pay for a generic bike rack. But this here is why engineers and the population often make jokes about designers circle-jerking and being so pretentious. Any way you put it, this is pure shit design, and I would expect to see this kind of crap from students, not professionals. "
