" my older brother was a ford engineer at the age of 24. He was able to bring experimental cars home. I was 14 when he brought home a wrist twist thunderbird . This is the first car I remember driving so at the time I had nothing to compare it to. The bird would steer light and easy with little effort and good feel. My dad loved it and he was NOT an easy man to please! It was a safety issue that killed it, if the engine died or the pump failed it was impossible to steer. You would have thought they would realize this before development!"
