  • "Lovely stuff Eric, thanks for sharing. I would be interested to know what is the actual effect of the reflected light on the efficiency of the charge, did you do tests with and without?"

  • "This dimmer looks unconfortable to use, you pick it up, face it vertically , turn an awkward 45 deg until your wrist is going nowhere and then you need to use a second hand to keep turning it. I like having a remote, I like the gesture interaction, and obviously the colorful puck is very neat, but the actual interaction is awkward. Also I agree with the you Kat about the high level of loose-ability. Maybe that's the point, they want us to keep buying pucks."

  • "Sorry previous comment got funny :pMy take on the project:This is a beautiful bottle but I'm sckeptical about the definition of the project. While it is presented as a bottle "on the go", to help reduce plastic dependence, it is also displayed on a home setting and the japanese, bamboo, wood and glass feel makes it feel very much domestic. It looks heavy to be taken with you. I'd be interested to see how that swingtop metal clip works in reality, as they usually have two pieces to create the tension. The karim rashid contraption looks a better functional choice for water on the go (thinner walls, lighter and more water to product ratio, and a smaller filter), as much as I dislike how it looks. However as I say I think the style is neat and I think it would be more successful as a domestic bottle, or for restaurants?"

  • "For what it's worth here goes my take: It is good to be working on the premise of Google's interactive gesture controls, this technology should be upon us soon (I hope) and we need to start thinking about what kind of objects will deliver this, I think objects should reflect this move into another magic dimension. The shape is pleasing, but the form factor is really big, even for today's standard of wireless speakers. The gesture control makes knobs and dials disappear and I would like to see the object being also as small and unobtrusive as possible, this is a perfect excuse to make the object become almost the air that you magically manipulate to control the music. I wonder if there was a physical/technical constraint that dictated the dimensions. Especially the non-ribbed area which presumably doesn't transmit sound, it seems to be very large, what does it house?Regarding the detail, I think the logo could be a bit more subdued. (personally), I like how you have ribbed the surface for the sound, and also the graded color is interesting, it reminds me of Nendo's ghost chairs which could work very nicely in product design if used with the right color. Would this be spray painted and varnished? Have you thought about how to achieve this finish?"

  • "I'd like to give you my thoughts on the project, for what they're worth.I think that focusing on the storage of the appliance is a good idea for smaller appartments and for those who dislike spaceship styled appliances. There are foldable hardryers in the market but often (if ever?) the cable is not resolved and they are not something you'd like to see on your counter top, so I think in terms of form this is a good idea.My only doubt would be that, as much as I personally dislike the organic ergonomic style of 90% of hairdryers, and as much as I love the Muji-esque shape of this one I wonder how this flat-section large-headed form factor woud work in use, and would that small hinge respond well to daily use? This is not critical because some products don't aim to be the most ergonomic but the neatest. The base is lovely, would it be spray painted? I think the weight distribution would make the product very easy to topple. Finally I'd like to say I really love the sketches, wonderful style complete opposite of the "PRODUCT DESIGNER" wanky sketches you see so often, very architectural, they remind me of Ronan Bouroullec's sketches."
