  • "I'm an Emirati, and also feel the same way about the building. A lot of the architecture here is engineering rather than true style. There's nothing wrong with that, it's just there's a lot less to appreciate once the feat is over. Spaces should definitely reflect the message of the build. I never liked the design either (I am also an architect) and the choice of cladding was very disappointing to me. Then again, I also don't like flashy design. The biggest complaint I have is regardless of how limited parking can be, the designs are always larger than life, and don't promote accessibility in the sense of walkability and connectivity. There's definitely something larger than a hole missing."
