"Luke - there's a reason why Apple doesn't show the whole legal text in the back of every Iphone. Sometimes you can actually prioritize good taste rather than obeying some rigid quidelines... The black bit makes this design malfunction even more pronounced."
"Didn't UA also botch the 2014 suit and effectively deny gold medals from several key US racers?https://www.thescore.com/wolym/news/431198 In any case, the new suit with the "crotch-reflector" looks horrible, just like pretty much everything UA does."
"Actually, sir, I find the author's notes on the show very fitting. We were also discussing similar issues when visiting the show last week. Bimmer and Merc are all over the place, while Audi just keeps pumping out stale-wagons.. VW group is also in the same boat, and all the sub brands are starting to have very similar surfacing, making the value differentiation of these veri difficult to understand. The new Skoda Superb had much better proportions though.. Kia Sportspace had some really sophisticated yet subtle details that you can only appreciate seeing the real thing, not in photos. Bentley's new car was a superb evolution of their design - compared to the Continental GT next to it, the new EXP10 had very seductive and sensual lines and as provocative proportions as you can fit in a brand like Bentley.. Volvo had a nice comeback, although as a Scandinavian I found some of the interior glossiness being too much (aiming for the Asian markets for sure..) As far as Lexus and Infiniti, all they do is hurt my eyes with their meaningless and busy sheet metal work. It's almost as if they have no idea but to every year add more kinks and bends to the skin. Awful stuff.. Once the unquestioned style master, Aston Martin is really starting to sell their soul cheap with these ill proportioned and badly detailed new concepts (granted, small companies only have so many designers to get these cars done in time for major events, hence the half assed finishing quality. Renault and Citroen (and Peugeot to a lesser extent) are reintroducing some of the old flair we used to have back in the day with unapologetically flashy external trim parts and detailing. Renault's subtle yet candy like treatment of sheet metal was particularly enjoyable development (while not exactly seen first time here in Geneva)..Furthermore, I was really disappointed with Tesla interior (both design and finish quality, having the chance to sit in it for the first time. But, as a colleaque of mine put it, it's "made in USA".Although I don't like the interior designs of Porsche, as they are too complicated and flashy to my eye, I think Michael Mauer's team is doing the best work in the business as far as exterior design goes. The new Macan is simply gorgeus with organic yet superbly controlled surfacing and great ideas in leaning out the bulk of that big SUV.My two cents :-)"
