"I shared space with Paul in the early days at Makerversity. We're still members, but have moved out to our own factory unit for most of our work (both design and production).Shared spaces and resource are great to get started but once you've got a business off the ground a focused set of your own machinery isn't so expensive vs. the rent for a space to house it somewhere near London or NY.Seems like very few of the 'maker' spaces (and the word 'maker' makes me shudder) seemed to get the balance of business space - workshop space right - I could never take clients to a hackspace even if the machinery meant I could do good work there, and if you can't get the professionals in then the networking opportunities for someone handy like Chris wont be there, and...Paul you've seen way more of these spaces than I have, does that fit what you've seen?"
