  • "Perhaps I'm not getting it, and yes there is attention to detail, but I don't understand how this is successful design.  Yes, the stand has great features and the vacuum dust port is also great, but other than that it seems to have an excessive number of parts, many of which seem to require sequential removal, increasing the number of steps required during teardown compared to a desktop or even a laptop.  I would love to hear how repair technicians or iFixit would rate the PS5 compared to desktops and laptops that are highly rated for easy maintenance."

  • "Depends on the user.  I want my computers to be visible and eye catching since I'm an enthusiast and I even rotate the computer so the back faces me so I have easy access to all the cables.  For me, invisble design is a no-go because I'm not the type of user that wants to ignore the tech but instead fully embrace it."

  • "Good to see I'm not the only one who agrees that some people just want cool looking products instead of invisible stuff.  This, much like the entire gospel of minimalism, is too often treated as absolute.  As for me personally, there are some products that I prefer minimalist in function and invisible in appearance, and others that I want to stand out and look awesome, with all the bells and whistles I could want.  And everyone will have different preferences on which products they prefer for these cases."

  • "I'm not a statistician, but isn't it technically improper to rank the masks in this manner since many of the masks have mean and standard deviations so close to each other as to have no statistically significant difference?  For example, the Valved N95 and Cotton 4 mask have mean values really close to each other and their standard deviations both encompass each others means, such that we can't really know based on this test design if one of them is really any better than the other due to the variability?  Again, I'm not a statistician, but instead ranking them by groups of masks with similar effectiveness levels may be more accurate."
