It's with the motorist who passes too close and/or too quickly.We shouldn't be getting cyclists to speed up; we should be getting car drivers to slow down. Here in the UK, 'taking the lane' (riding in the centre of the lane to avoid the door zone) is completely legal and often recommended in order to stop motorists making unsafe passes. "
