"What's not quite clear from the article is that this is for model year 2011 vehicles only. Let's look at the sales figures for these:A4 -35KOdyssey - 107KSorento - 130K (includes 2WD & 4WD)RX350 - 72KGL Class - 35KLegacy - 42KHighlander Hybrid - 4.5KSequoia - 13KXC90 - 10KThe Volvo, which gets singled out here, isn't the impressive one IMO. That's the Odyssey & Sorento, both affordable vehicles and sold in 6 figure quantities, or 10X the Volvo.Data from http://www.goodcarbadcar.net/ &ahttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hybrid_electric_vehicle mp;"

"Probably 10-15 years ago I swear we owned a litter box set that worked exactly like this. Three identical trays that when stacked in alternating orientations provided no path though to the floor. We no longer have it and though I searched when I first learned of this, I couldn't find any reference of it. It's a great and novel idea, but in practice the litter and the liquid seep into the slots and clog them, like any other sifting tray. Some gets below tray #1 and onto tray #2, although never beyond that and certainly never to the floor below. However, you do then place tray #1 and it's soiled base onto your floor as tray #3 after sifting. The upshot is if you're looking for a no-touch solution, this won't be it. More frequent filtering helps, but it's still a sifting litter box and the same drawbacks apply."
