"Nice article Rain. Looking forward to the follow up!Regarding the popularity of the car and it's sales in China, you may be interested to read this article on counterfeit Evoques.http://www.thefashionlaw.com/home/jaguar-land-rover-lands-win-in-fight-over-chinese-copycat-car?rq=evoque"
"The home shown above is only 350 sq/ft and cost $10,000 just to print the walls. It will be interesting to see if they can hit their target of a home twice the size at less than half the cost.I would also be interested to know the final cost of that home since the foundation, roof, and all other components were not printed. How does the cost of printing walls compare to a typical modern construction methods or straw bale construction?"
"Browse more fire protection on HouzzThis is dumb. Learn to use a fire extinguisher and keep it easily accessible in multiple rooms (I have 3 in my 975 sqft house). If you don't care for the aesthetic, they are available in chrome or a number of "designer" patterns/styles. You could even do a custom vinyl wrap if desired."
"Excellent article, Rain. I recall first reading about this tool on Core77 last year, and thought it was interesting. Reading the full story really creates an appreciation of all the work that went into making it happen.I too injured my back taking on more than I should've a couple years ago. Luckily I responded well to rehab, but I'm always careful now and keep an eye out for tools that can make life easier. Thanks!"
"Nice work! I just completed this project for my wife a few weeks ago. My board doesn't have the recessed areas on the face though. I may have to steal that idea, and revise my board."
"When I first started growing potatoes I looked at all the options. There are a couple Velcro versions shown above, but those as well as the one you posted all end up being more trouble than they're worth. With the "easy access" pots, you can really only harvest the potatoes on the perimeter of the pot. It's much easier and faster to just dump the whole thing. Last image is the one I use for tomatoes and potatoes (15 gallon felt pot with handles)."
"It does look nice, and that is probably part of why they chose to use a stainless insert. Without the insert, the lamp would exhibit blotchy saturated sections/patterns when watered. It's hard to tell from the photos, but I'm also guessing the insert in doughnut shaped to keep everything contained to the outer edge where it is easily accessible.I like the idea of utilizing the material to save water though! I'm currently experimenting with Olla vessels in my garden."
"This is really cool. I think it's hilarious that they listed their goal as $15,000 when a single unit costs $1,100...then when they hit their goal they added "Funded in 6 minutes!" "
"Pretty cool. I've always loved my LC-A camera. From a design standpoint, I think the aperture dial is a real miss. It looks cheap/flimsy, and prone to being knocked or snagged on things. Although the majority of images used to promote this campaign are shot on film, this lens can be used with a digital camera as well! It's nice to see new developments in the photography world."
