"This is very interesting! I hope they figure it out.If not, there are several other uses for spent barley. Most notably it's superb for compost/soil amendments. It can also be made into stock feed, or dog treats. "
"This is great news if they implement it!However, one point of concern are the regulations on the thickness of plastic manufacturing. It reminds me of what happened in California when we "banned plastic bags". The manufacturers just switched to a thicker plastic to skirt the law. "
"Perhaps something like this would suit you better? The Infolight and Timelight are going to drive my pets crazy, but I'm sure you can disable it. Locating the controls at the top edge of the door is pretty standard these days, but that custom cabinetry face is slick!"
"This is the first article I've read about CES that I actually enjoyed! We're trading security/privacy (comfort) for convenience, and no one seems to mind."
"That peanut butter pump had some real issues. His Shark Tank appearance was a fail. The Indiegogo campaign was successfully funded 9 months ago, but he still has yet to create an overseas prototype. None of the backers received anything yet, and he has already used a lot of their money on the prototyping process...https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-peanut-butter-pump#/updates/all"
"I think this is a great low tech solution. It would take quite a bit of effort to educate the public, but well worth it. I haven't seen anything like this in the US, but most of the retail jobs i worked were at malls where they have dumpsters out back with built in compactors. I've seen scaled down (slightly bigger than a normal trash can) compactors at airports for people's recyclables, but nowhere else. I imagine the cost (plus energy usage) is prohibitive."
