"Agreed, a unique, one-off design/fabrication is going to cost more that buying a simple, mass-produced bike rack. I applaud this group for pushing for unique solutions that make a stronger statement around Quebec. With that said, $23,000 for a bike stand that holds 10-15 bikes is a bit much. I participated in a bike rack design competition where the winning design needed to be fabricated for $1000 or less. While it was a little difficult to stay under $1000, it was still achievable."
"This entry reads more like an advertisement than an article with a focus on industrial design.I am curious however, the first sentence of this entry states that the Kickbike is designed and built in Finland, but the article banner has the designer listed as Sowal Design which appears to be located in Florida. Which is it Jordan?"
"This technique was recently used on the side walk in front of my house. It worked by raising the sidewalk back level with the other sidewalk panels near it, but the foam also expanded into a void area in my yard under my grass, slowly killing the grass (I know I sound like an old person, and get off my yard). I caught it, dug up the dying grass and removed the excess expanding foam, replacing it with dirt and sod. I was really surprised to see they used expanding foam, but sound like it may become more common."
