"The foldable helmet concept is a creative way of solving storage and carrying issues associated with traditional helmet designs.Despite this, there are a variety of issues with foldable helmets that might outweigh the benefits of their use. The most major issue is the reduced impact protection as compared to a traditional solid piece helmet, with this being an issue that negates any benefits of a foldable design, as any chance of the helmet providing less protection isn't worth portability. I think for the foldable designs to be worth using, there would need to be a way to completely lock the helmet into place so that in the event of a crash, its foldable components won't cause the helmet to collapse.Regards,WillH"
