"Yeah, it makes sense to think like this cause we sometimes try to streamline things too much. Just the way we are all trained to think of things and solve problems. But I believe there is a lot of power in thinking lean and design as one engine constantly feeding each other in an ever-evolving experimental loop. Thanks for commenting and reading it! "
"Hi StNick,
Thanks for finding the time to read this through and comment. Well, Mauricio can explain this to you with more details as he has been extensively researching on the theme for years now. As for me i see the primary concept of Ba as a shared space, a proposed context, for knowledge exchange/creation. And on that it is present in the example we use to illustrate the model. Although the four "Ba's" are not named in the canvas, their representations are on the four areas (socialisation, externalisation...). Some of its manifestations were narrated in the text as possibilities of knowledge sharing interactions, others (as the Exercising Ba) were not explored as the journey narrated didn't touched any mentoring activities. Work on progress.
Not discouraged at all. Keep the good comments coming. Thanks for sharing!"
"Hi Larry,
I know the movie. My point is not on designers becoming obsolete, and it is not about designers (as professionals) at all. But to state that services are a different and much more gestaltic animal than products. So one who designs services (and that can be anyone in profession) needs to incorporate new lens. That goes to marketeers as well, as marketing is a solely product based theory. Also, tools were not removed from designers, a real designer (not a surfacing one) has always been able to create new paths and tools to suit the challenge."
"Thanks Jeremy, glad you liked it! =)
Aaron,
Access is definitely not ownership. And property rights is definitely an issue in the access age, you are right. And on that products vs services is indeed a major issue, and It is an issue of vision as well as modus operandi, that takes life and purpose out of businesses.
Will discuss that further on this space, thanks for reading it, thanks for commenting as well, no need to apologise!
