"This vehicle was heavily featured in the Chris Pratt action series "The Terminal List". It got me quite curious about it when I first saw it there. Rezvani even made a feature reel highlighting it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNMCBGciuSg"
"I found the video I was talking about: https://twitter.com/AvatarDomy2/status/1485499151500693505 It has footage from outside the stadium and at the 35 second mark it shows it from outside the stadium."
"This is not at all new. We had some bookshelves using this technique in my Manhattan apartment in the 80s. Googling "tension pole shelves" returns lots of examples."
"This reminds me of the Grabbo handheld vacuum device. YouTuber Izzy Swan has created a whole bunch of add-ons and adapters that are similar to what's featured in the images above, but on a much smaller scale. Check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mib1x4oYH6E and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYwtIWYpPvQ for some examples."
"Jewish ritual slaughterers (shochtim) use their fingernails to check the sharpness of their knives and as a result, often have an unusually long fingernail on one of their fingers. See here (http://www.thekosheromnivoresquest.com/blog/deconstructing-kosher-slaughter-part-2-the-basics, there's a picture there too):"To ensure that the chalef (ritual knife) is perfect, the shochet (kosher butcher) carefully checks it for nicks using his fingernails and re-hones it if even the smallest imperfection is discovered.""
"I own a much better product for this purpose; it's the same idea but it's absorbent like a sponge, so you can lather it up with soap as you scrub your back.https://www.amazon.com/Loofah-Scrubber-Natural-Exfoliator-Invigorate/dp/B07RTGHJ5G"
"Might want to check out the documentary "Tim's Vermeer", which is about a graphics engineer replicating a Vermeer using these tools and techniques.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoqWwuRnj3o"
"The 3D printed aspect of this house is equivalent to the framing stage in a typical home construction. And as anyone who's ever built a house knows, the framing stage is just one small part of building a house. When you consider that an experienced team of 5-6 people can frame a house in a week or two, this innovation really doesn't seem too significant. All the major other aspects of construction - plumbing, electric, windows, doors, flooring, roofing, insulation, siding, etc. all still need to be taken care of, and because they now have to integrate these steps with a new, nonstandard building process, will probably be even harder for the tradesmen to complete. I really wish there would be some serious reporting of these breathless 3d printed home stories which discuss these issues."
"The arrow never went into the cauldron. It went OVER it and ignited the gasses. That's why it seems like the timing was off, but it wasn't. This article shows a picture where you can see the path of the arrow: https://olympics.com/en/news/snapped-the-flaming-arrow-at-the-olympic-games-barcelona-1992 I even saw a video from outside the stadium that showed it, but I can't seem to find it at the moment."
