"My thoughts are that the design process will be dynamic....lots of baby steps. Keep in mind the evolution of the automobile itself from the horse and buggy to something (the car) we use almost without thought.  Also autonomous cars aren't coming out of a vacuum...we have cruise control in almost all current cars. It has its own set of controls and buttons as well as the brake pedal."
