  • "The Logitech Squeezebox was a radio that could stream music.  It came out in 2003 and discontinued, for the last time, in 2013/2014.  I love the idea too and wish I had this functionality in my Yamaha table radio, however, I'd rather the flexibility that the Logitech used to have."

  • "A few thoughts:1.  We are so much further away than is believed.  I recently read an interview with the head of autonomous driving at Jaguar.  He said that the first 80% of automated driving was straight forward engineering and programming, but no one really knows how to get that last 20% done.2.  Go to youtube and search, "Tesla autopilot fails".  It's scary stuff that has been dangerously over-promised imho.  It also shows how hard this is.3.  Last, is what I call the "Air France 447" problem.  The Airbus A330 that crashed in 2009 has one of the best autopilot systems in aviation.  Unfortunately, it's ability is dependent on all the sensors being operational and correct.  During the AF 447 flight, the pilot tubes that measure air speed iced over, causing the aircraft to turn the autopilot off.  The pilots were suddenly forced to manually fly an airplane that was registering the wrong air speed.  The pilots then made a series of mistakes that lead to death of everyone on board.Autonomous driving will have the same accidents.  After not driving for months, drivers will be suddenly confronted by their cars handing control to them when sensors fail, cameras are dirty or some other fault occurs.  Most automakers understand this, but some tech people clearly do not."
