"Seems pretty obvious to me that the side panels over the bed are reinforcements; it has to be pretty problematic to have an inward right angle right at the point where the forces on the chassis are highest.Let’s not forget that the whole "load-bearing shell" idea is an attempt at reducing both weight and cost. They probably envisioned that the panels would cause some problems for the user, but in the end they chose the cheaper, lighter alternative."
"Rancea, I'd be interested in your source! I've heard this before, but only as a hypothesis.Besides, it is but one of two options; there are already headphones with an integrated DAC on the market, that work with a Lightning port. For me the problem is not the removal of the jack; however it does make the real problem (Apple sticking to Lightning with no good reason) more serious, because now if you buy USB-C headphones that work with android phones, they won't work with an iPhone and reciprocally. This is pretty rich from a brand that otherwise makes a laptop with nothing but a USB-C port... And a headphone jack."
"I completely agree that our posture has evolved in a bad way, and that the shape of our spines is probably wrong, but the solution she proposes is clearly wrong.Oh a chair that helps you sit!Assisted sitting! Just what we needed. If we want to improve the way we sit, stand and move, we have to work on ourselves, not let a chair "do the work".That doesn't mean we can't help with product design of course, but for me good chairs are neutral chairs, not complicated devices with grippy pads everywhere. And of course, diversity is key, so let's keep designing chairs, and exotic desks."
"That is really cool. But why don't they move the projector to the top and make the object go down?I remember seeing a Kickstarter project that worked that way and allowed anyone to use a standard DLP projector. Of course it only worked with a special resin, but with a dedicated projector, maybe it could work with other materials."
