I mean paleontology isn't the most well-funded of fields and paleo-artists are spending a lot of their time to really work with the scientists and build the creature's anatomy accurately from the fossil material. Most of the art in papers is pretty minimal I think this lil guy makes a nice splash - pun not intended."
