"Idk I think this TD-MP1 is just another concept render - a nice one but not a prototype like the other examples shown. There are a lot of iffy design choices here too- like maybe that ribbed section is hiding a pivot for a swingarm but if so footpegs really should be on the sprung weight and the fork tube/triple clamp is about one bump away from sending you into a pavement nose-dive"
"https://youtu.be/og8wFLhWP5g There are some videos online that cover this and other commercial ultrasonic cutters - seem to work well enough though there seems to be a non-negligible amount of heat from the friction that may upset some plastics - though in acrylic it might serve to heat "polish" the cut edge. "What's the confusion though? The stock-ish rain background? I mean paleontology isn't the most well-funded of fields and paleo-artists are spending a lot of their time to really work with the scientists and build the creature's anatomy accurately from the fossil material. Most of the art in papers is pretty minimal I think this lil guy makes a nice splash - pun not intended."
