  • "I saw this and it really caught my attention because I work at a hospital part-time and deal with wheelchairs on a regular basis especially at ER. When using an ordinary wheelchair I've noticed that people's hands can easily get sore and bruised from braking and turning, especially when going downhill. This concept reduces the effort needed in order to move, although it only works when momentum is already in play or if a force is applied. With this being said, I feel that some improvements could be made. The changes I would make is to bring in rear handles in order for the person to be pushed. Especially when it comes to hospitals, people and patients are mostly pushed around in wheelchairs by the nurses. Furthermore I would also include arm rests to improve comfort, especially when the person is not moving around in the wheelchair. But I think this is a great concept."
