"Lots of good mobile work solutions our there, but the sheet good loading method looks interesting. Especially for heavy stock like HDF or cast acrylic. What would really sell me on a concept like this is if the table doubled as a vertically-held sheet good cart for transporting a stack of sheet goods through a site without having to carry them."
"Curious about the groove in the front fairing that runs from the nose to the sides of the bike. Looks like a gutter that would funnel water, dirt, etc directly to the three wires going into the E-drive."
"The premise of your article is flawed. You can't play the "human factors" card when critiquing an object that isn't exclusively used by humans. In theory, this vehicle could be inhabited by one of a hundred alien species, each with their own anatomical and cultural needs. A better angle might have been to look at the design choices and try to figure out what kind of person (or alien) they were designed for."
"Definitely an interesting process, but the results... not quite there yet. Looks like they took a great looking shoe and then drew on it with a hot glue gun. Would be great to see how this technology could be used in a not-so-blatant way, integrating the process seamlessly into the design of the finished piece."
"Ha! Those toning shoes.... design vomit! In theory, these should work just like any other Nike shoe in terms of performance. Looks like the added benefit would be to "pre-program" how tight you want to be laced up for certain activities, which I actually do if I'm running vs walking in my Nikes. I'm not an elite athlete by any means, but maybe there is a benefit of adjustments being on-the-fly. It will be pretty interesting to see if they're actually able to make their product "learn" how I use them, and then make automatic adjustments. If nothing else, they should prevent tripping over untied laces."
"I agree with Sean. I have similar portfolio pieces from my college days that I wouldn't want anyone to see because they are dated and irrelevant to todays standards. "
