  • "Well if you ever used both the sidewinder and the worm drive then you would notice the difference right away. If you are right handed then the worm drive is what is comfortable to use. And left handed people have the unfortunate sidewinder. I use the worm drive. And personally when I'm cutting I need to see the line and if your using a sidewinder then you have to lean over the saw to see the line if your right handed. And the blade is on the side of your hand so if you get off the line and try to correct it real quick you get this wavy back and forth action which results in a not very straight cut. But the worm drive your hand sits behind the blade so you get away from that back and forth action. I started framing with a sidewinder a it was difficult and not comfortable then I seen the worm drive and have been using it ever since. I don't know why they don't make a worm drive for left handed people. "
