  • "That project is a big waste of time and money.  And all that nonsense about saving water is not a very good sales gimmick for a piece of plastic.  I can’t remember how long I’ve been using a French Press, but the time span stretches over many, many years.  I own several FP’s of all sizes and have  broken my share of glass FP’s.  When finished brewing my coffee, using the power setting on my kitchen sink faucet, I spray inside the carafe, swirl the carafe a few times and pour the water, with coffee grounds, thru a cheap, metal tea strainer.  The grounds then go to my yard and shrubs.  Easy, cleaning mission accomplished.  "
