"Any ecofriendly material can turn just the opposite when we add substances to enhance it's processability or properties, plastics and BPA's are one good example. The means doesn't justify the end, so if we want bettter materials let's think harder and cut the f_king bs. It's actually a good thing that biocomposites are being used for single use applications, but we can label these as "greenwash ecomaterials", and they are a serious problem that can undemine the efforts of a lot of people developing sustainable materials.
