"I would like to see the EV vision for this design language. The huge grill seems pointless as a new direction into the sunset of the ICE. I'm a bit concerned that Toyota has already staked a claim on a lot of these forms and in a far more restrained way. I like that they included renderings that show a realistic wheel size. Sooo many automotive designs ignore the reality of production on this. "
"We design to solve the problem not moralize that the problem shouldn't exist. Seat Belts? Just drive safely! Ashtrays? You shouldn't be smoking. Design can and should be aspirational but we cannot ignore reality. I bet the person who has to clean the bathroom thinks this is a great idea."
"Great Scot !! I am skeptical of the underlying science. What are they measuring and is it consistently out of the range of natural human variation? Does anybody have a link to the research supporting this. This also creates the issue that you have with DUI testing in that if you refuse the brain scan you will likely be presumed guilty."
"Looks like it could hold the barrel of a shotgun. Often stashed behind a door in those days. A mop tipping over is not that big of a deal. A shotgun however could go off if it fell over or tumbled down the stairs."
"But will they withstand the forces of things other than sleep? It is my understanding that when the world's most highly tuned bodies from around the world all come together in a village for a few weeks a vigorous exchange program of sorts inevitably takes place."
"I prefer the form of the UPS design. How much difference does the near vertical windscreen make? Also I'm not sure how the driver gets in and out easily and quickly. I assume the door slides in a track? Visibility looks better in the UPS design."
"Might as well make the time count down and call it art. With all the current focus on sustainability and elimination of single use disposable items from our lifestyles this is a tone deaf statement piece. A gimmick. After the first year will it really be charming that it doesn't keep accurate time and there is nothing you can do about it? A watch that does not, in fact cannot keep accurate time is a waste of resources and no art crit psycho babble fixes that. "
"Of course we would do this, automation instead paying a living wage, providing health care, and now dealing effectively with a pandemic. We are creating a dystopian future, one small seemingly rational decision at a time. "
