"Those removable handles designs are common in Japan, having used them before and seeing similar materials being used they can melt if the pan gets really hot which is why tefal ones uses metal at the clamp.I can't see how those flat and thin handles are considered good design, seems like they will be a pain to hold if you cook something dense."
