"A 900 pound full dress motorcycle can fit in a bike lane. Are they allowed to use them as well? I would think these monsters would be very quickly banned in any place big enough to have bike lanes. Bike lobby groups would fight them and motorists would get very tired of bicyclists darting out into car traffic to get around them. They also seem a bit top heavy for something with such a narrow track."
"Everything I need to know about the typical user of such a kit is shown in the short video above. showing how to use a measuring tape as a compass. It shows driving a screw into a surface with a hammer. All the tools shown are simple cheap common handtools with a bit of branding and colour added and put in a case."
"I agree. An outfeed function would be more useful. The sliding feature looks interesting but for it to slide as easily as demonstrated, I imagine there would be a lot of slop. Make it tighter and it would likely get pretty jammed with sawdust."
"My understanding is that the 20,000 price is based on a 7,500 government incentive that may or may not survive the next few years. I truly love the idea of a basic pickup at a cheap price and think this would go well with fleet users"
"Complexity for the sake of complexity. A $170 item that can replace a stick pen costing a dime.I would say that this is perfect for the EDC crowd but most of them have already gone to minimalist wallets already. "
"Great idea but I would look at two things to improve.1. An easy to use wheel lock for when you have a heavy load right at the edge of the lift gate. Something that can be used with one hand instead of the standard friction brake that is designed to be stepped on. 2. Instead of a riser and standard casters to get the clearance below for the lift, perhaps, just use larger casters. On anything but the smoothest surface, I prefer larger tires/wheels. "
