"I would like to see more things take this approach. Anytime something plugs into something else, either directly or via some wire. Think of all the clearance needed for those wires in the back of TVs, computers and the power plugs into the outlet."
"Yea or Nay? I say Yea! I don't often find myself removing a light fixture from a wall with tiles to move it somewhere else. If I did, I would have to deal with the removal of the tiles anyways in order to deal with the holes left. This looks much more of a complete, holistic system for a tile wall."
"If damage is a concern, a cheap $2 plastic case is fine if you put it in your pocket or backpack instead of hanging it outside. All this engineering seems to have made the battery at least twice a bulky as it needs to be."
"I like the idea but not the tremendous amount of waste. Perhaps something like this could be done with a cardboard material. Something like the that in a paper towel roll but a bit thicker."
"The early version has that cousin ITT vibe about it... or, maybe, a teal colored female minion. The other one does not seem like a $7,700 piece of furniture."
"Interesting idea. I have several spirit levels of various sizes and find it more important to have it close to hand when I need one. Usually in my pocket. As for protecting it from damage, I would be hard pressed to find anyone who has damaged one without trying to do so. One of my levels is a vintage one (yes, vintage tool collecting is a thing) that is about 90 years old, has a few dings on it but still works fine. Replacing it with a $65 one that hides away in the handle of a case does not seem like a wise decision."
"I have always questioned the need for a diagram of the bit that is the same size or smaller then the actual bit in your hand. The text, yes. A diagram, meh."
