  • "Similar process to me. Wanted the Subaru Outback but couldn’t get past the exterior. Obviously buffed up the design to fit in with the SUV look rather than a 4wd wagon. Started around 2010, here’s the 2009 version.YouTube was good, good in-depth reviews. I went to a dealer first where we were originally looking at a Tiguan, too big, so he recommended a Alltrack. New to Australia then, we started looking to replace a 1999 Outback in 2016. Then did the YouTube and internet reviews. Very useful when we did a driving test.We just did our first 15k Alltrack service. Only problem is a confusing UI on the Eco mode. Looks likes it’s in eco mode but not really. Software bug I guess. I raised it with the dealership, so maybe a future software update.Otherwise great car. We got the 2018 Turbo Diesel with Driver assistance package. I live on a property and my commute into town is 120km round trip. The radar cruise control and lane guidance is the bomb. Good economy on the diesel. Great pulling power too for picking up trailer loads of firewood. If you have a dog/s I recommend this mud cover for the back seats and luggage area:Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen / Alltrack MuddyBuddy Trunk Liner with Extended Seat Back Cover https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NH15QF3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_4TAkBbMK5YCS2Wish they had trailer assist in Australia. Look it up on YouTube. "
