"Now instead of the camper shell, build it with a microvan body. Get the width down near 60", and make sure the bed inside can take a 4x8 sheet, possibly sitting atop wheel humps. I particularly like the sitting over the front axle feeling of maneuverability. Didn't change the turning circle any, but it felt like it did. At which point you have something the form factor of the mid-80s toyota vans. (aka the Hi-Ace van in the rest of the world). One of the most useful (and maneuverable in urban spaces) vehicles I have ever owned. (if only they did it as FWD (or AWD) as it was near hopeless in snow. We bought a years cat litter every october, and unloaded it in April."
