"Completely valid criticism on difficulty of reaching over D-pillar. One feature of Cybertruck not well highlighted in the launch are the compartments the D-pillar, furthest right picture here:https://scdn.slashgear.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Cybertruck_Unveil_15-1.jpgDodge offers this functionality as an option on their full line of Ram trucks, called "Rambox". General consensus is it is a very nice-to-have feature, those that have it say it replaces need to reach into bed to grab tools, etc. It is lockable, has interior lights as well.My quick search to validate this assessment:https://www.reddit.com/r/ram_trucks/comments/841s1m/ram_box_owners_are_they_worth_it/Ram seems to have solved your main concern with Rambox, and Tesla seems to already have same solution as a stock feature in Cybertruck. My personal experience with Rambox is when shopping 1500 and 2500 Rams at dealerships. The dealerships know this is a highly sought after feature, and accordingly they use it as leverage in package deals. The Rambox is a $1000 MSRP factory-installed item, but I never found as the only additional option between two otherwise comparable models. It was usually included in a $4000-$5000 grouping of options the salesman would try to talk you into. Tesla's own "Rambox" as base-model feature I think becomes a huge differentiator. Telsa still has chance to improve it's marketing messaging over time as they get closer to launch. "
