  • "I'll second Sam's thoughts. Our Tesla 3 2020 makes virtually no sound save wind and tires. And because this noise is isolated, you notice it. And over time I've found myself increasingly wanting to mute the noise. (My partner couldn't care less, but she's less bothered by many things 😉)So I've opted for the quietest summer tires I could find (Continental UltraContact NXT), which incidentally are the most sustainable, too, in that they're 65% recycled materials, yet are hard-wearing and have excellent performance. They still can't compare to our winter tires, though - come November when we switch, it's like slipping on a pair of hush puppies, and everything goes quiet! In short, tires make a huge difference in noise levels - in our EV at least."

  • "While this may seem superfluous on the surface, I do see an advantage for if you're doing drop sets at home. (You know, where you'd work your way down the rack at a gym, starting with higher weights until failure, then dropping quickly to lower weights in the same set.) Time is key with drop sets, so messing around with manual disc changing is not really an option. So for a use case where someone's looking to do drop sets and doesn't want a whole rack of dumbbells taking up space at home it might make sense, provided the UX is efficient. That said, I'd personally much rather just hit the gym!"

  • "Assuming there is a need for an acoustic experience, then what should it be, really? I get that it's faintly ridiculous to mimic a V8, but it does have its undeniable charm! Not so with sci-fi-style whines or bleeps, which in a sense are just as irrelevant. So for my money, I think Dodge has nailed it, for their particular brand. Heck, they could even upsell with new sound packs if they like, to leverage that sound system. Or maybe a tuning studio, for the enthusiasts..?That said, I like my old Tesla's whisper just fine, though I can appreciate that my surroundings would prefer a warning before I sneak up on them!"

  • "Yeah, this is great! I still have all my old mixtapes, they're little treasures - time machines, in fact. Recognize a whole bunch of the tapes pictured as my own, save for my scrawls (or my buddies'). My favourites are the bold coloured 70's AGFA's though, they're almost edible."
