"As a non engineer, I have restored a few mechanical clocks. While these interpretations are interesting, they don't compare to a clock with a mechanical movement. No matter how crooked you hang these, those batteries will keep it ticking."
"Something designed for longevity! Imagine that. I just, as in yesterday, finished cleaning and repairing a clock that, so far, is chiming and keeping accurate time. It's from 1882. "
"Anyone who can afford this set has no need for it, and those who eat marrow already have a wood mallet in their utensils. These are for display by 'epicureans' while dining in front of an audience."
"Glass is heavy to transport and recycling facilities are uncommon. I live in the Tidewater area of Virginia. The nearest facility is in Charlotte, NC. Over 300 miles."
"Nothing new- just more durable and easier to care for than a pizza stone. I bought a bigger one made by Pizzacraft over a year ago on Amazon for $45 and would do it again. It does have a finish of some sort on it so it hasn't rusted. When we order pizza, we get it unsliced and throw it right on the steel for a few minutes for a crisp crust. I hate soggy or undercooked pie crusts- this fixes that, cookies bottoms are better browned. Haven't roasted vegetables though- use the grill for that."
"Love the design. I hate toilet brush holders but was fortunate to buy something similar to this. It's in the wall but pops open when needed. Unfortunately, it's not made any longer. If I ever sell this house, I'm taking it with me! Now someone needs to create something to block the blue light from the LED bulbs. "
"We tow our with a simple short loop of rope and a carabiner. Cheap, and we leave it on the trash can handle so it doesn't have to be stored. Long lasting, too. 17 years, 300 yards and and unpaved driveway."
