"I feel your pain.  I have been in business for myself for 35 years.  It doesn't matter how great of work you do, if you don't get paid it doesn't count.I hope anyone thinking about starting a business will read this.The screw you fund is a must.  It is so good to look someone in the eye,  tell them what your price is and when they say that is too much, just smile and say maybe you need to find someone else.  Because I am the best in my field.  Generally they come back to you and pay your price because the cheap guy did a bad job.My screw you fund needs six digits in it.  When your fund gets to that point you can really have an attitude.There is nothing any better than a customer who pays on time!  You will always work harder and do better work for that person.  OK since I have my six figure reserve I think I will take the rest of the day off to have some fun.  Money doesn't do you any good unless you take time to enjoy spending it.  "
