"Hey, Polygons & Core77 fans! Thanks for checking this review out! As Emily stated, Core77 received a *prototype sample* from us so the functionality and durability were not where they needed to be. We wanted Core77 to have one of the first samples which is why we sent this version to them. It is a 2-year-old, handmade prototype, constructed with regular flimsy cellotape (which has been referred to as "laminate" in the review) That being said, we have greatly improved upon Polygons from this prototype, which was just meant for representation. The version that we have now and the backers will receive is made of incredible PP and TPR plastic. This plastic is extremely durable and will last for several years, even if you use it every day. Take a look at the image attached to see what we're talking about. It is one of our earlier manufactured samples, with the 2 different materials robustly bonded. In the latest version that we have, the hinges are even narrower and tidier, but we could not have sent it to the press due to intellectual property issues. We cannot wait for you all to try the final product. We wish we were able to provide Core77 with the final version, but rest assured we will send them one early next year for a new, more accurate review of the product :)"
