"Very nice and thoughtful observations in this article. But there's a nagging question in the back of my mind. Having curated 4 large museum exhibitions, I'm keenly aware of viewer engagement. What then do we believe the museum goer will take away from this exhibition and it's intentions? Certainly "intention" is at the basis of what makes an artists' work important, but have the artists and designers here really addressed the issues brought forth by Ms. Antonelli? We are still in the world of art and concept here, which is fine, as it's an art exhibition and not a science exhibition. But to believe that viewers will be made seriously aware of global issues by these pieces is erroneous."
"It's a gorgeous watch, that's for sure! But the 800 lb. gorilla poses the question: what does it look like when it's worn? Watch ends up having skin for a face. Hence the lack of photos worn on the wrist."
