  • "I think to say its a 'copy' of an existing design is unfair as that implies intent. The problem will be universal for anyone working in that position for any period of time, and if form-follows-function, then the solution is going to be a variation on a theme. Its more an example of 'simultaneous invention'.And who outside the US(or Japan?) are going to be familiar with Baseball gear??"

  • "To be fair, it does say "Minimal Amount of Thin Plywood" and the 3 legged Ikea stool, KYRRE, is quite thick by comparison. This is closer to an Ikea BENGTHÅKAN formed plywood stool. I own a couple of these and have noticed they're susceptible to warping in the sun and feel quite 'flexy'. This design would be more rigid, but I don't imagine the extra work involved in all the cutting & gluing would be cost effective compared to forming (the longer bench seat version may be the exception)."

  • "no, no and no. Selling an original copy of a propaganda Poster as historical item, yes. Even a repro of the poster I'd cope with. A T-shirt version is just flogging war porn merch. As to the original post - the shirt graphics are devoid of any contouring and look badly photo-shopped? who would wear a fake-dirty top anyway?"

  • "We've done several trials of these for customers over the last 10 years and they universally lead to a drop in sales. People standing watching eventually lose the will to shop, and bystanders don't want to interrupt the viewing of others by opening the door to get product. Not to mention Content Creation Costs (digital content costs more than static signage they're used to paying for and the 30s TV ad gets old after the 100th rotation).Inventory tracking though? if they've cracked that, that's a winner."

  • "Although it looks like the handle and Pivot share some sheet metal, surely the most straightforward solution, originally,  would have been to offset the Handle so it wasn't under the pivot? Offset counterclockwise by 20-30deg it would put Point C in a more natural position to be thumb operated? (Apologies to the LH'ers)"
