  • "My thoughts also. I'm yet to be convinced that touchscreens are better than tactile options for any personal transport that you ride on/in. As a display, sure, but for any actual control, my guess is the joystick is all you're using."

  • "I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest this is an auto-correct/translation error."Chemically set sandcasting" would make more sense, and "A triumph of casting" instead of smelting..Nitpicking their marketing copy aside, I do like it."

  • "I think you assessment is correct - they've move beyond a useful pocket widget to a Small Tools" category with tacticool branding. I feel you could take any existing small tool, bead-blast it  and call it EDC.I had a Swiss army knife since I was 9yo, and switched to a Leatherman 10 years ago because its stronger (or I'm rougher). .. but anything else, I'll grab my toolbox."

  • "crumbs, tough audience.  I really like the attempt at turning the functions into physical form. It looks well executed.A quick peruse of the website shows a range of dedicated audio mixers/synths/sequencers etc... and this item is one of 3 components of a field/portable system. I don't know the market is like, but it appears a case of dedicated design for electronic music creators.... although I'm sure trust fund influencers might also use it. If you're doing something infrequently, as an amateur, then a modern smartphone hugely expands your capabilities for cheap. But doing the same thing, frequently, for a living, will quickly make the rational for dedicated devices apparent."
